Its blustery outside, one trip into town guarantees getting soaked. I need to eat some lettuce leaves as Christmas has left my skin kinda Elphaba!! The christmassy stuff is all away and its back to earning a lil cash. I'm glad of fairy lights, its nice to have them in this less than cheery time of year. Bring on 2007...

I have just spent 3 days trying to workout:

(Monday night) Footballers wife - I missed the end of a film the other night because match of the day was on AGAIN for like the 70th time in 10 days.

Well, we had a superb Christmas with lots of family fun and games - went to a very traditional high church Midnight Mass in Essex, which was wonderful, and gave us an insight to how odd, people who aren't used to church, must feel on attending services such as these... we had to sing communion confessions.... I just talked, means the same eh....

....SO Chris bought tickets to see the show "Wicked" - It was absolutely amazing, the music and scenery was tremendous, the most striking role was the lead character 'Elphaba' played by Idina Menzel. She was awesome her passionate acting was inspiring. I would highly recommend this.... its one for everyone: not just girls!

Wonderful friendships nurture give and take. Friendships for me are based on the integrity within the relationship which allows for giving to that person, and receiving from them that which they offer unconditionally. This weekend I've had the joy of spending time with and speaking to friends I value very much. Thanks for indulging my creativity and cooking and listening to what God has been saying.

I love teaching Art, the people who I teach seem to have very few preconceived ideas about the end result, therefore they never know if what they are doing is 'right' or 'wrong'. This is really important. It helps to relax into the subject and release allowable ideas ordinarily unspoken.

This post is for my friend Lynn! We were having a chat about the impact Art has on a persons life; its all very well discussing a piece of art if you know what image is being refered to. The piece of abstract art above is the one we were talking about last night. Something which is not necessarily easy to view, but which usually provokes a response from the viewer. Abstract art is a style which is prompted by expression in response to a stimulus....

We are setting up a local gallery which will be full of artwork in response to a common stimulus: A journey of faith. Some of this artwork will be abstract and the colour,/composition etc will affect the viewer, other pieces of artwork will be much more figurative.

First Christmas feast of the season

Not just any old cooking, a feast for 70 of our mates was presented Sunday eve... Thank you so much for a wonderful meal with crisp potatoes and very posh stuffing! ;)

My work today! A screenprint Kitsch style. I love my job, how satisfying to be able to say that about the thing you invest most of your life in. Today I have experimented with colour, recyclable papers and design.
